Your support makes it possible for Amicus to provide unique and much-needed services. We bring to our work over 45 years of experience in improving public safety by helping inmates and ex-offenders through positive relationship-building, restorative justice practices and individualized transition services.

We welcome and are very grateful for your support!

In April of 2013, Amicus merged with Volunteers of America – Minnesota. We see wonderful potential for expanded service as a result of our new partnership with VOA-MN, and you should know that all Amicus services provided before the merger are still running strong post-merger as well.

Amicus serves over 2,000 people a year who are struggling to renew their place in the community after incarceration.  Amicus One to One supports over 272 active matches between volunteer friends and inmates.

In a 2011 StarTribune article,  Minnesota Department of Corrections officials called Amicus “the most stalwart of prison mentoring organizations.”

Over 187 individual donors contributed to Amicus in between July 1, 2011 and June 30, 2012, giving an average of $862 each.  Individual donors are becoming ever more important to Amicus as funding from government agencies and foundations becomes increasingly scarce.

Please don´t hesitate to call us at (612) 877-4250 to discuss with you the many ways in which your support can benefit Amicus and provide tax benefits to you.
