Amicus is taking a walk around Como Lake in support of those incarcerated, those trying to make
a new start after serving a prison sentence and the friends and family members who love them.
Nearly 1 in 100 Americans is currently behind bars. Join supporters who are walking around
Como Lake in order to help those leaving prison walk a straighter path. For more information,

Running With a New Crowd
"My dream was to be a kingpin," Malcolm McLauglin said of his teen years, when priorities were nice shoes, a nice car and selling the drugs needed to buy them.
When his lifestyle culminated in felony convictions and prison time, Malcolm said he felt the world was conspiring against him.
"I blamed everybody else; society, the man… I wasn't really taking responsibility for myself. People around me influence me, but I make my own choices."
It wasn't until he was sent to Moose Lake Correctional Facility for Criminal Sexual Conduct did Malcolm decide to try a different route.
"I was tired - not just physically, but mentally. I was tired of doing the same thing, but I didn't know how to change. I knew I didn't want to come out the same way I went in, because if I did, I deserved to go back. "
